HAU’OLI Sandwich Company
Downtown - Honolulu
A co-worker mentioned a food truck on the edge of town that made sandwiches with fresh rosemary focaccia bread, traditionaly baked . This piqued our interest and the REA team made the way to Ali’i Place on Alakea and Hotel Street to locate theis food truck. It was only 12:30pm and the HAU’OLI Sandwich Company was already sold out of their Hale’iwa sandwich which has a big chunk of Black Forest Ham. Ordered a tasty Kapa’a Sandwich which was a hand-made with chicken salad, provolone and fresh veggies. All their sandwiches are topped with house-made pickled onions which is a nice compliment that adds crunch. Try the Lilikoi Mango Iced Tea which was not too sweet but simply refreshing. The next time you find myself needing lunch on Wednesday, Be sure to hit up HAU’OLI Sandwich Co.in Chinatown, and get there early.
